2025 Reading List

Updated 9/1/25

These are magazines/news papers and books I have read in 2025.

Magazines

Weekly

I don't read these each cover to cover but read a lot of each publication each week.

Monthly

Books

  1. Norse Mythology (The Illustrated Edition) - Neil Gaiman, illustrated by Levi Pinfold
  2. Brothers of the Snake - Dan Abnett
  3. Seeds of Hope - Jane Goodall, with Gail Hudson
  4. Straw Bale Solutions - Joel Karsten
  5. The Narrow Road Between Desires - Patrick Rothfuss, Illustrated by Nate Taylor. I got this at a favorite book store, Port Book and News in Port Angeles.
  6. Think Black - Clyde W. Ford. A pleasure to read after hearing Clyde talk at LinuxFest NW 2025. Makes you think and want to learn more.
  7. The Way of Life Lao Tzu - Translated by R.B. Blakney, the introduction which is as long as the collection of poems was very helpful in understanding what some of the poems are reaching towards. I liked this book.
  8. The Heart of Everything That Is - Bob Drury and Tom Clavin. This was fascinating. I picked it up on the used book rack at Village Books. Read it.
  9. She Who Knows - Nnedi Okorafor. I was looking for a new fantasy/sci-fi book and Okorafor's afrofuturism was a delight. I am excited to read more of the trilogy.
  10. Agency - William Gibson. I don't always dig Gibson's writing but Agency was like Neuromancer, worth a read.
